Haze Management

haze-icon.pngThe well-being and health of all our staff and students is of top priority. We will continue to monitor the haze situation and update parents and students on any adjustments to their school activities and examination schedules, if necessary. This includes moving students who are unwell into air-conditioned venues with air purifiers.

Teachers will be vigilant over students who are unwell and ensure that they receive the necessary medical attention.

Secondary 2 Subject Briefing Notes

Methodist Girls' School will embark on a full 1:1 Learning Programme for all incoming Secondary 1s in 2015. The main aim of the programme is to:

    • prepare our students for the future and
    • better engage our students in a digital environment that affords learning of the 21st Century skills, with strong focus on collaborative learning, critical thinking and communication skills
    • The school conducted a pilot run for this programme in 2014 and we have received strong positive feedback on student learning.

The learning device (computer) will be a Chromebook and the school will make the necessary arrangements for parents to purchase the devices for their daughters, from shortlisted vendors. More details on the purchase of the machine will be made available during the various briefing sessions to the girls and parents. Meanwhile, one can learn more about the programme by visiting the 1:1 Learning microsite: https://sites.google.com/a/mgs.sch.edu.sg/1-1-learning-mgs/
