The RYC, launched in 2007, is a platform for students from Singapore and the region to share their concerns for the world and to identify appropriate solutions to some of the problems that persist. The conference provides the opportunity for students, leaders of tomorrow, to interact, network and establish ties that transcend cultural diversity and geographical barriers; it hopes to nurture international understanding and co-operation in making the world a better place for all.

The theme for RYC 2009 is Blue is the new Green. It is a call to the young to go blue if we want to live in peace and fulfillment; we must keep the skies and the seas blue – shining, shimmering and safe.
